So you’ve decided to choose GoDaddy to host your website, but as soon as you are all set and ready you wondered what should you put on your “MySQL Host Name”. I fully understand your situation for I too had this problem when I first setup my site, So here’s a step by step instruction for you guys who are having difficulties determining your MySQL host name:

Step 1: Login to your GoDaddy Account and proceed to your Domain Manager.

Step 2: View your domain dashboard by clicking the domain name you wish to manage.

Step 3: On your dashboard select Hosting under My Products section.

Step 4: Once on the Hosting Control Center select MySQL under Databases category.

Step 5: Click the pencil icon to view or edit your MySQL settings.

Step 6: All the information you needed are here especially your host name that you needed to be able to connect to MySQL.

Step 7: Your all set and I’m pretty sure your website is now connected to MySQL.
