After eating a meal of rice, chicken adobo and hard-boiled egg that allegedly came from the Christian Bible Baptist Church, 212 San Pedro evacuees displaced by floods brought by Tropical Storm “Ondoy” including 160 minors were rushed to the hospital after showing signs of food poisoning, started vomiting and complaining of abdominal pains. They were given oral rehydration tablets by the hospital and were later advised to go home, they were temporarily housed on Sioland Supermarket in Barangay Nueva.

Christian Bible Baptist Church denied that the donated foods were contaminated and according to them, there were other evacuees who ate their food but only evacuees from Sioland Supermarket complained of food poisoning.
