LondonSultan Kosen, a towering Turk from the town of Mardin in eastern Turkey was officially the tallest man on earth standing 8 feet 1 inch (2.47 meters) according to the Guinness World Records. He became the world’s tallest man after the previous record holder Leonid Stadnyk from Ukrain refused to be measured and got stripped of his title, the Ukrainian measured 8 feet 5.5 inches (2.57 meters) about 4.5 inches taller than Sultan Kosen.

According to Sultan Kosen he was looking forward to find a girlfriend and get married. He originally was having difficulties finding a girlfriend because of his physical stature, girls often get scared of him. Now that he is famous he was expecting to meet lots of girls and eventually be in a relationship.

Due to Sultan Kosen’s tumor-related damage to his pituitary gland, he had a condition called “pituitary gigantism,” but the tumor was already removed last year so Sultan Kosen isn’t expected to grow any further.

But being tall have its disadvantages, according to Sultan Kosen he uses crutches to stand when farming, he can’t fit into normal car, he can’t go shopping and he usually have things made specially. On the other hand being tall allows him to see people coming from far away which is really cool if you ask me and maybe I should try sending  Sultan Kosen some email asking him to lend me some of his inches because I’m just a 5 feet and forget about it inches dude.
